Cookies and localStorage are different
Cookies are small values that a browser can send with requests to a website. localStorage is browser storage available to scripts on the same origin and is not automatically sent with each request. Both can retain information on your device, so this page explains the storage used by the supplied site functions.
What this site stores
The site’s scripts do not create cookies. If you choose a preference below, the browser stores a single localStorage value named velvetatticmunch-storage-choice. Its value is essential or accepted. It records your selection only; it does not contain a name, email address or enquiry text.
The value has no automatic expiry in the site code. It remains until you clear it, clear site data or your browser removes it. It applies to the current browser and origin, not to every device you use.
Manage the saved preference
Both choices leave the current site free of optional tracking. Accepting does not authorize unspecified future tracking: a materially different use would need an updated notice and any required consent.
Enable JavaScript to inspect or change a saved preference.
Contact worksheet behavior
The contact worksheet keeps the current subject and message in the open page. The script does not save them in localStorage or submit them to a server. Copy Message uses the Clipboard API after your action. Download Text creates a local file. Your browser may separately restore form fields through its own features.
Browser controls
You can block or delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Blocking storage may prevent the preference above from persisting, but the technical articles remain readable. Clearing the preference does not delete downloaded files or clipboard contents; manage those through your device.
